The body mechanics of good TONE | Tone series (3/6)

In this video, we take a deep dive into my most used exercise-- 'A' bows. We examine what is going on mechanically as we pull along the full length of the bow as well as how to begin developing beautiful tone. If done correctly over time, this exercise can take a student from not being able to pull a whole straight bow, to getting a truly professional sound. Here's a description of each video in the series: 1. Foundations: bow hold and rabbits https://youtu.be/qmpuoNFV_Fc 2. Pulling a straight bow at the balance point (Tuck-a-s) https://youtu.be/E272gFiJ660 3. Expanding to full whole bows using arm weight https://youtu.be/kYe5gUrOWYA 4. Using scales to develop bow control at every bow speed. https://youtu.be/CvmCHv-ngfE 5. The 3 main variables to color your sound https://youtu.be/J3xPls-vHCY 6. Figure 8 motion: the last big secret of tone production https://youtu.be/08hJfeVl7g4 ============== If you'd like to support the channel, using my affiliate links is a great way to do it! 🎻 Incredible rosin | Cecilia Solo: https://amzn.to/3nvPa9v 🎻 The strings I use and recommend for most | Dominant with Gold Label E: https://amzn.to/3Zz3jQl 🎻 The chin rest I use | Berber/Ohrenform: https://amzn.to/40u35LS 🎙 My microphone | AKG C414 XLII: https://amzn.to/3Zq7e28 📸 My Camera | Sony a7S iii: https://amzn.to/40qBxqH I earn a commission on any affiliate links used at no additional cost to you.
